    Why We Built Xentra

    Every company has an origin story. Ours starts with a simple observation: vacation rental managers are drowning in tools, and none of them talk to each other.

    The Problem We Saw

    Before building Xentra, our founding team at Stellar Tourism Innovations operated a vacation rental management company in Berlin - Stellar Trust. We managed hundreds of short-term rental properties across Germany and Europe.

    And we were frustrated. Deeply frustrated.

    Our tech stack looked like this:

    • A PMS for calendar and bookings
    • A separate channel manager for OTA connections
    • WhatsApp Business for guest messaging
    • A smart lock app for each lock brand
    • A spreadsheet for accounting
    • Another spreadsheet for owner reporting
    • A third-party tool for check-in and ID verification
    • A pricing tool for rate optimization
    • Email for everything else

    That's 9+ different tools, each with its own login, its own interface, its own subscription fee, and its own limitations. Data lived in silos. Nothing was connected. Every new booking triggered a cascade of manual tasks across multiple platforms.

    The Breaking Point

    The breaking point came when we realized we were spending more time managing our tools than managing our properties. Our operations team spent hours every day just moving data between systems - copying guest names from the PMS into the check-in tool, manually generating access codes, cross-referencing bookings with invoices.

    We looked for an all-in-one solution. There wasn't one. Every platform in the market was either a PMS that lacked operational features, or a point solution that did one thing well but ignored everything else.

    So we decided to build it ourselves.

    What We're Building

    Xentra is the platform we wished existed when we were managing 700+ properties. It's built on three core principles:

    1. Everything in One Place

    Calendar, bookings, guest messaging, smart lock access, CRM, accounting, check-in, AI automation - all in a single dashboard. Not a marketplace of integrations stitched together, but a natively built, unified platform where every feature shares the same data model.

    When a booking comes in, Xentra automatically creates the guest profile, generates the access code, schedules the check-in message, sets up the cleaning task, and prepares the invoice. One event triggers an entire workflow - no manual intervention required.

    2. Works With Your Existing PMS

    We know that switching PMS platforms is painful. That's why Xentra doesn't force you to migrate. It connects to your existing PMS (Smoobu, Guesty, Hostaway, and 6+ others) and layers powerful operational features on top. Think of it as a supercharger for your PMS.

    3. AI-First, Not AI-Added

    Many platforms bolt AI onto existing features as an afterthought. We built Xentra with AI at the core. Our AI isn't just a chatbot - it's an operational assistant that understands your properties, your guests, and your business. It drafts messages in 20+ languages, answers guest questions autonomously, generates content, scans invoices, and provides performance insights.

    Xentra is built by Stellar Tourism Innovations GmbH in Berlin, Germany. Our team combines deep industry experience from operating vacation rentals across Europe with strong technical expertise in AI, cloud infrastructure, and product design.

    Being based in Europe means we understand the unique challenges of European property management: GDPR compliance, police registration requirements across 15+ countries, multi-currency operations, and the diverse regulatory landscape.
